Mud Bog will begin at Noon Saturday and run through Sunday
Changes may be made to rules, updates to come

Tough Truck Tug Of  War begins at 5 p.m. (If there are any registrants or interest)

Saturday Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for teenagers and kids 12 and younger are FREE
(1/2 Price for Currently Enlisted Military Members with ID)
Sunday Admission $2 off

The West Virginia Day Festival is an event that aims to raise awareness and instill pride about West Virginia's heritage. We hope to feature many proud West Virginians, culture, and talent by staging this event and highlighting the positive and unique background of our fine state.

Come celebrate the 151st  anniversary of West Virginia

Saturday and Sunday June 14-15, 2013
Holly-Gray Park Sutton, WV
A celebration of West Virginians, heritage, talent, and home.

The 2013 festival followed the following format but we will be changing things around and have the park for 2 days so the schedule won't stay the same for 2014. 9 a.m. Gates Open
9-11 a.m. Registration for Competitions
11 a.m. Car Show Begins
12 a.m.  Mud Bog Kick Off
5 p.m. Tough Truck Tug Of War
5:30 p.m. Live Music
(Times and entertainment will be different in 2014)

The third annual event will be a 2 day celebration honoring the founding of our great state on June 20, 1863.

For all of you motor sport fans, the festival will host a a three pit mud bog with record holding mud racers, a two foot pit mud race, a deep pit mud bog and hopefully a tough truck tug of war competition.

Live entertainment will be provided by some of the best WV musicians around.

A variety of vendors from near and far will also be set up allowing visitors to get a few goodies as well as food and drinks without leaving the park.

Activities and entertainment will be provided for all ages. Games and prizes will be available throughout the day and children will have their own special area, including a changing station to try to meet all of a child's needs. Raffle and door prizes will be awarded through the day and the first 300 cars through the gate will get a FREE gift.

SHOW TIME NOON

Kaylee Stout, a Braxton county resident with a stellar voice, has volunteered to start things off in the motorsport area. Kaylee has performed at several events lately, including a WV  Power baseball game, and will be singing the national anthem for us at the WV Day Festival.

The Davisson Brothers Band will be celebrating 150 years of West Virginia by bringing their hillbilly, footstompin' music to Holly Gray Park on June 15th.

Scott Holstein, from Boone county West Virginia, grew up submersed in music. His interest was peaked at an early age and he is now living in Nashville creating the music he was born to make.

Bowyer Drive is an up and coming five piece band from North-central West Virginia whose drive and creativity is rich in each original song.

Andy Tuck is the front man for The Greens, one of West Virginian's favorite local bands. This hard working trio can be found playing shows around the state and beyond and have established a reputation and fan base that just keeps getting stronger.
